TwitThis and Then Enjoy Some Fortune Cookies

March 23, 2007 by Evan

I’ve gotten a few emails lately about the ma.gnolia bookmarks which I used to include in the feed. A while back, I decided to move those over to a Tumblr blog I maintain called Affiliate Fortune Cookies. It’s sort of a CostPerNews Lite (or Light).

If you’d like to see what kind of links, videos and pictures I find relevant in my daily wanderings around the internets, head over to AffiliateFortuneCookies.com and grab that feed. I throw in a little commentary from time to time, and I think it’s a great little site full of interesting content being constructed from things I don’t have the time or capabilities to cover in depth here.

Let me know if you’d like for me to include those ma.gnolia links back in the feed.  If enough people want them, I’ll gladly put them back.

I’ve also added a fun button over on the sidebar from the TwitThis service. Sharing links and pointing influencers and early adopters to interesting or worthwhile places is one of the draws of Twitter.

For example, I find out about TwitThis from Steve Rubel on Twitter about 30 minutes ago (and he also pointed to a new service from the Apple Store offering free consultations which I thought was interesting). It’s that sort of thought shaping and attention directing paradigm which makes Twitter so addictive and interesting to those of us looking on the periphery.

If you click the “TwitThis” button, you’re able to post a link that you think is interesting, worthwhile or just amusing to your Twitter account. You can also grab a “TwitThis” bookmarklet to tweet about things on the go.

So, go exploring (offline and online) this weekend and get your hands dirty while learning about things such as Twitter and Tumblelogs.
