Thanks, Advertising.com! Relevancy Means Conversions and Attention

Wow.  What a cool gift (and great branding opportunity) from the Advertising.com team of Missy and Amy…

My wife and I are having our first child in October (hence I won’t be going to Affiliate Summit London), so this is an incredibly relevant gift.  On top of that, we’re not finding out the sex of the baby until s/he arrives, so the gender neutral yellow is highly welcomed.

If you haven’t checked out what Advertising.com is creating in terms of community and network, you’re missing out.  We’ve all worked with them in the past, but what’s going on there now is something that you should pay attention to because it’s a compelling narrative of a company that “gets it” and is attempting to establish itself in a tight knit community.

Schwag is great, but if it’s not targeted or relevant it doesn’t say much about your company.  Ad.com’s baby schwag and zanox’s webcam are highly relevant because they are based on my own current situation (pregnant wife) and interests (video as the next big thing).  As a result, I’m much more likely to cover both companies here as well as do business with them through Clicks2Customers.

So, pay attention if you’re looking for ways to attract publishers and affiliates!
