Lots of coverage of Movable Type 4 out today.

When I first started blogging in 2004, I used MT and thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. Then, I discovered wordpress.com and then decided to do the hosted Wordpress thing.   Even ReveNews is still on the old Movable Type platform (that is being remedied as I type).

But, I have to wonder how much of an impact the new version of Movable Type will have on its brand image. In many ways, Movable Type feels like Microsoft Windows XP while WordPress is a sexier Apple OSX (while Joomla is Ubuntu?).

Should be fun to see the adoption numbers come in… I’d love to give MT another crack because I did enjoy it so much years ago. But, you can never go home.
