Final Decision: BUMPzee Trumps MyBlogLog

I’ve gone back and forth in my love affair with MyBlogLog, but BUMPzee is, by far and away, a better choice for CostPerNews since this blog is focused on the affiliate and online marketing niche.

I thank Eric and the MyBlogLog team for their continued answers to my emails and questions, but I can’t rationalize keeping the slow widget (which hasn’t produced much in the way of quality traffic for a while) on the sidebar.

BUMPzee, on the other hand, has hit the after burners. Check the stats. In just a little over a month since it’s official release, it has amassed 238 high quality and interactive users, passed every other affiliate blog in traffic, and has become a hub of affiliate news and buzz that has no equal.

Scott has debuted a new widget which even allows for BUMPzee readers to see how many comments are active on a particular post. That is a differentiator which sets BUMPzee above the crowd and we should all be using in our blogs about affiliate marketing.

Vlad over at MyAffiliateJourney has posted his thoughts on the new widget and does a great job of pointing out its strength in allowing for conversations to happen both within the comments and on the BUMPzee site. Recommended reading. Subscribe to his feed while you’re there.

In other words, this is co.comments (I am still using a widget over in the sidebar for that service) meets MyBlogLog meets Digg meets an affiliate marketing forum…which makes BUMPzee a “killer app.”

How long before someone or some company buys BUMPzee? I give it four months tops before Scott is having his door beaten down by big players in the online marketing world.
