TechCrunch covers Nokia’s acquisition of mobile advertising firm Enpocket:
“Nokia said in a statement that the acquisition will allow it to accelerate the scaling of its mobile advertising business by leveraging Enpocket’s platform and strong partnerships with advertisers, publishers and operators.”
Shawn Collins asked the question last week if affiliate networks were ready for mobile. I’m not sure they are (although there was mobile talk at last week’s CJU).
However, performance advertising is ready and is willing to move into the mobile space.
If affiliate marketers and the affiliate networks don’t want to fall behind, they’ll move quickly to keep up with the certainty of a mobile future.
Otherwise, affiliate marketing’s future is not so bright.
